Redistricting occurs every ten years after the U.S. Census. This year, boundaries are being redrawn for City, County, and California state legislative districts. This affects our representation and governance for the coming decade.

Deadlines are set in December for final county and state maps. The Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce (LVCC), along with neighboring Chambers of Commerce, support the Tri-Valley cities request that Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton in Alameda County and Danville and San Ramon in Contra Costa County, be recognized as a region in the new maps, and ideally avoiding or minimizing dividing individual cities within the region.

Through the Tri-Valley Chamber of Commerce Alliance, LVCC has weighed in at the county and the state levels on this issue. (Letter attached below).

LVCC covered this topic at its December Business Alliance meeting and hosted a webinar presented by Northern California field staff from the California Redistricting Commission.
